Growing Concerns About Safety at Outpatient Facilities

The recent death of a teenager who died while having corrective surgery on her breasts is causing many to think twice before going under the knife.
The operation took place in a doctor's office, not in a hospital and it's now raising questions about the safety of outpatient facilities.
New York state has about 2,000 doctors' offices and surgical centers performing various operations.
One of the main reasons why they've gained much popularity is that patients don't get hit with hospital facility fees that can run up to $3,000. Mary Murphy looks into the common practice and the fatal factors:
